Selling Guide
A handy guide to what we're currently accepting, how to get your items ready for re-sale with us and how much you can earn!
Check items before packing
- Do a wear-and-tear inspection! We recommend examining areas like under the arms, the crotch region, and around the seams.
- Make sure all your items are clean and freshly washed.
- Remove items from all pockets.
Items we don't accept
- Items showing signs of wear and tear, such as pilling, stains, worn/stretched-out fabric or unpleasant odours
- High-street labels with low re-sale value
- Damaged items. Look out for holes/rips and broken zips
- Categories not accepted include shoes, men's clothing, low-quality jewelry, ball gowns, and traditional attire.
Maximise your Tidy Kit experience
- Send in items that are seasonal. We are currently accepting Spring stock
Example: Mini, Midi or Maxi dresses, skirts, trousers, light-weight knits and cute blouses! - Send in quality brands our thrifters will love
Example: Country Road, Ruby, Lululemon, Seed, Assembly Label, Kowtow, , Bec + Bridge and other smilar brands.
- Make sure all your items are in good, resale-ready condition. If you wouldn't purchase it for yourself, we wouldn't want to offer it to someone else.
Pricing and Payouts
We use an algorithm to help us determine the price of your items based on factors such as the brand, demand, and quality.
We use a sliding pay-scale, so the more your items sell for the more you earn!
Under $5 → no pay-out
$5.00- $9.99 → 3%
$10.00 - $19.99 → 15%
$20.00-$49.99 → 30%
$50.00-$99.99 → 40%
$100.00-$199.99 → 50%
$200 or more → 60%
Some low-priced items do not qualify for a payout due to the fact that the expenses involved in processing them exceed their resale value.
